WHAT IS REIKI?

Reiki is a powerful yet gentle healing energy.  it is channeled through the practitioner and works by clearing and harmonizing the body's energy centers (chakras), which are directly linked to your endocrine system.  In addition to the energy centres, the hand positions in a typical Reiki session also covers every internal organ and many major joints in the body - for a complete and balanced treatment.

A Reiki session is enjoyed while lying on a massage table and takes about an hour to complete.  The experience will leave you feeling completely relaxed and rejuvenated.  Most people experience Reiki as a warm or cool sensation coming from the practitioners hands.  Some may experience it as a tingly sensation.

Scientific research has shown that during a treatment, the Reiki Practitioners hands pulse at the same frequency as the earth's bio-magnetic field.  They sweep up and down from .3 to 30 Hz, spending most of the session in the 7 - 8 Hz range.  This range is also knows as the Alpha State.  Independent medical research has shown that this range of frequency will stimulate healing on the body.

Reiki is a wonderful tool for those with a physical injury or condition, which requires short or long term healing and support.  The healing energy of Reiki can be utilized as a tool for deep relaxation or as a support tool for those recovering from physical or emotional injury.  During a session, you can expect to reach a state of deep relaxation.

My name is Pamela Swanfeather.  I am a Reiki Master / Teacher and Practitioner.  I offer heart based medicine to support you on your healing journey.

My own healing journey began 20 years ago, when the foundation I had built my life upon crumbled beneath my feet.  I believe healing is truth seeking and I found that creative expression in the form of short stories, poetry, drawing and sculpting provided me with a pathway to the truth of who I am, so I could rebuild my shattered soul.

I found artistic expression was the most gentle way for me to journey to the depths of my soul, so I could root out, examine and understand the trauma's of my early experiences in life and find the deeper lessons available to me underneath the darkness.

The artistic process allowed me to find the wisdom in those experiences so I could re-weave the threads I found into the truth of who I am - so I could begin to distinguish the tapestry of my soul.

Over the course of my journey, I have found a deep connection to the loving and gentle healing energy of Reiki.  I am a student of both nature and humanity and continuously look for ways to broaden my horizons, deepen my understanding  and enrich my life with the wisdom that is found all around us.

I am deeply connected to both Swan and Eagle medicine and I have been able to come full circle to my own ancestral Celtic roots.

Reiki Classes

Reiki was (re)discovered in 1922 by Mikao Usui, at the end of a 21 day meditation on Mount Kurama in Kyoto, Japan.  While there have been many schools and styles of Reiki that have been developed since it was first introduced, I choose to teach and practice Usui Shiki Ryoho Reiki style, with a direct lineage back to Sensei Usui.

I offer classes monthly for each of the three degrees of Reiki...

First and Second Degrees are each a one-day class.

The Master Teacher level is a two-day class.

Level One:  Healing Yourself and Others

Become attuned to Reiki and be able to heal yourself and others.  Learn about the power and protection symbol and how to complete a daily self healing.  The use of daily self healings can have a profound effect on yourself, and positively impact those around you.

Level Two:  Distant Healing and Symbols of the Second Degree

Become attuned to the second degree of Reiki and learn how to send the loving, healing energy of Reiki to yourself, to others and to situations - across both time and space.  You will learn additional symbols for overcoming deeper issues, thus increasing the depth of your healing ability.

Level Three:  Becoming a Master / Teacher

Become attuned to the third degree of Reiki and be able to teach and attune others to the gentle, loving and healing energy of Reiki.  Learn the Master Symbols and Attunement Process while deepening your own connection as well.  This is a two day class.

Tuition costs include a complete manual, certificate of completion and all information required to attain professional standing with the Canadian Reiki Association.
